CHIKANKARI
Chikankari a traditional art form from lucknow, India.
It came to India as a part of the culture of Persian nobles through Mughal courts.
It is a delicate and artfully done embroidery on variety of textile fabrics like, muslin, silk, chiffon, organza, mesh, etc. Originally done with white thread embroidered on cool, pastel shades of light muslin and cotton garments. This collection adds to the contemporary approach to the western silhouettes with introduction to tonal as well as multicolor embroidery for festive winter.
